The reason I went for hard from the off is that last year I did a complete career replay of WRC7 on hard in all 3 categories and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Playing on hard with no practice & just the 4 restarts will probably net you 5-10th stage times, but with a reasonable level of practice runs beforehand will get you into the top 3. Manufacturer try outs seem to be Ok though, so far I’ve managed to complete the 3 that have been offered within the time limit. If this is important to you stick with medium, (it doesn’t bother me as they are not the main event). When running Hard difficulty bear in mind that you probably won’t ever be able to finish an extreme event as four attempts are not enough to be able to complete, the training stage times are also harder to gold. You’re probably right about Chile & Turkey but that can be said for all of us being that none of us have experienced them, so if we don`t finish too high in these so what! Its a 14 round world championship They do recce runs and such, so I will imagine my resets as mere recce runs. It's not like real rally drivers just get thrown into a stage blind like I am. ![]() I'd much rather have a few limited resets, at least until I've played the game and am used to every stage. I started a career with permacrash, bad idea. It's still feels good and is driveable, my only concern is maybe burning out the motor since the wheel is over 10 years old, though I only used it briefly when I bought and it then sat in storage until about a year ago. No fault of WRC 8 since I'm using a PS3 wheel, I go into every game expecting issues with it and turns out this is the issue with WRC 8. I turned everything down to 0 to try and get the wheel looser but it is still the same. I turned it back to the default 540(I think) for giggles and I managed a good clean stage run right away and the car in general handles much better! I guess the low rotation made me constantly over correct and oversteer the car causing spins and loss of control.Īlso it appears my wheel is unaffected by any other force feedback settings. WRC 8 will release some time in September 2019 across the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.Quick update, it turns out having my wheel rotation set to 240 was really negatively impacting my runs through stages. WRC 8 will feature an impressive tally of 50 teams, 14 rallies and more than 100 special stages from the 2019 season making it the biggest off-road racing game ever. Players will need to manage their schedule and activities between rallies, utilise research and development to improve car performance, as well as recruit and manage staff members covering several areas from mechanics to finance. ![]() The career modes in recent WRC titles have been near identical so it comes with great relief to hear that Kylotonn has been working extensively on a revamp. ![]() WRC 8’s road surfaces will feature changing levels of grip too bringing tyre choice very much into the equation. Instead, Kylotonn’s focus is very much on providing an authentic experience. The title will feature new off-road physics across its range of terrain along with a new dynamic weather system where rain, hail, and snow will have a real impact on the action.
